Barbed Wire Brackets

Our barbed wire brackets provide versatile, durable solutions for enhancing the height and security of mesh fencing. When added to fence posts, they allow for the installation of barbed wire, acting as a robust bracket that adds an extra layer of security to your location.

Available in straight, cranked, and Y-shaped versions, these mesh extensions are designed to adapt to various fencing needs, making them ideal for urban, business, and industrial uses.

Designed to work with First Fence's 2.36" x 2.36" x 0.08" (60 x 60mm x 2mm) fence posts, these mesh extensions fit snugly into the box section and are secured using one of the First Fence fixing kits.

Available in Three Styles

  • Straight Extensions: Offer a clean, vertical addition to fence posts, raising the fence height without altering the original structure.
  • Cranked Extensions: Angle outward, providing an added deterrent by creating a barrier that’s challenging to scale.
  • Y-Shaped Extensions: Extend from the post in a dual outward shape, often used for installations needing barbed wire or extra wiring, effectively increasing both height and security coverage.

Benefits of Using Mesh Extensions for Barbed Wire

  • Enhanced Security: By increasing the fence height and adding barbed wire, mesh post extensions help create a more formidable barrier. The barbed wire acts as a powerful deterrent to trespassers, reducing the risk of climbing and tampering.
  • Extended Visibility: Mesh extensions with barbed wire enhance security while maintaining visibility—ideal for perimeters needing clear sightlines for cameras or patrols.
  • Adaptable Design Options: Straight, cranked, and Y-shaped extensions offer flexible options, with cranked and Y-shaped additions adding deterrence by angling barbed wire outward.
  • Cost-Effective Security Enhancement: Compared to installing an entirely new, higher security fence, mesh post extensions provide a cost-effective way to upgrade existing mesh fencing without a full replacement. These work with First Fence posts with 2.36" x 2.36" box sections with a maximum wall of 0.08". They may also be retrofitted to other systems with modifications, though compatibility isn’t guaranteed.
  • Durable, Long-Lasting Solution: Made from high-quality materials, these extensions resist corrosion and weathering, ensuring they maintain their integrity and security over time, even in demanding environments.

Applications of Mesh Post Extensions

  • Industrial and Commercial Facilities: Adding barbed wire to mesh fences with post extensions is ideal for securing warehouses, factories, and supply yards, deterring unauthorized access and theft.
  • Utilities and Critical Infrastructure: Power stations, water treatment plants, and telecom facilities benefit from the added security of barbed wire, deterring tampering and securing essential infrastructure.
  • Transportation and Logistics Hubs: Airports, rail yards, and shipping facilities use these extensions to create secure perimeters, helping prevent unauthorized entry in high-traffic areas.
  • Correctional Facilities: The combination of mesh fencing and barbed wire on post extensions is frequently used to contain and monitor areas where the highest levels of security are mandatory.
  • High-Security Residential Perimeters: Certain high-value or private residential properties may use these extensions to reinforce security measures, especially where the property is bordered by potentially vulnerable zones.
